The team at VietRide has over 70 years of combined experience riding scooters and motorcycles worldwide, including 20 years in Vietnam alone. We are owned by an Australian family, including Alec Barnard and the occasional help from Charlie and Barb (mum and dad).

Our owner Alec lived in 5 countries throughout Asia, traveling around the world while climbing the corporate ladder as an ethical trade specialist in the fashion and apparel industry. No matter where he went next, his love for exploring on a motorbike fed his passion for life. This love of the open road finally coalesced into VietRide when he decided to settle in Vietnam and set down some roots.

We have spent years traveling the length and breadth of Vietnam on bikes and have all the inside information you need on the best travel destinations and tips for getting around Vietnam on your scooter.
